Hi Ron,

No, it is not possible. The Mic and Line inputs are multiplexed into the ADC, so it's a restriction on the CODEC.

Subject: [AudioI] Mic / Line both active?

Hi,

Is it possible to configure ALSA to have both the Mic and Line IN active on the Zero? The Zero will be embedded into a device we are designing that will have the MIC and phones connections connected to 3.5mm jacks on the front of the device. We would like to have the Zero INPUT/OUTPUT connected to 3.5mm jacks on the rear of the device. When I set the Zero with supplied script asound.state.MIC.thru.test I see the MIC configured when I run alsamixer. When the Zero is configured with asound.state.RCA.thru.test, I see LINE IN when running alsamixer. I would like to have both configured in ALSA. Is that possible and if so, please provide the specific details on how to accomplish that. I know very little about how to develop ALSA configurations.
