Curious!
Does this effect change when you install a different Rasbian OS version which has major kernel version upgrades ?
Also do you notice anything in dmesg about the failure to probe ?
Are you modprob-ing to get around the issue when it happens ? Do
you have a workaround ?

I'm running into a really strange issue where on every third reboot (approximately) the Octo card is not found. I can't find any rhyme or reason to it. This on a clean install of the latest OS and following the automatic setup instructions.
Any help would be appreciated!
