 Yes. It's unlike the usual, the opposite.Bottom red connectors are 1, 3, 5, 7 and top white connectors are 2, 4, 6, 8.I went through the same realization.

Can you post the numbering of the channel inputs on the Octo? This would be channel 1-6 for how it?s reported in ALSA. Attached is a picture of the input board which I removed the RCA jacks. Which input is channel 1?
